GAIL HAROLDSEN PORTER

Sources I've Consulted and Other Research Tools
Where did I get my information to write about the Mormon colonies and the Mexican Revolution? So many places. Besides non-fiction books, journals, and memoirs, I’ve also read novels to get the flavor of the culture and times. Recently, it occurred to me that others might like to know what sources I’ve used and which I think are the best ones.
The list published here is by no means exhaustive. It will take me some time to catch up with the sources I’ve gathered over the past twenty years. I typically add one or two new entries per week, depending on my schedule.
Please note: There are no links to vendors. I’m leaving it up to you to locate copies of what you want to peruse. Some books may be out of print. (Thank goodness for inter-library loans.) And don’t overlook the possibility of finding a digitized copy online.
